Week 14: Greenhouse Gases, Albedo, Global Warming

Week 14: Greenhouse Gases, Albedo, Global Warming 1. What did you do in lab today? In lab today we looked at an Excel spreadsheet of C02 levels in three different places. There were trends and consistent changes within the spreadsheet describing C02 levels changing. My group described how the numbers trended up as the years went on meaning greenhouse gases were warming the earth contributing to C02 levels rise. 2. What was the big question? The big question was how does climate change work. We explored this by using saying certain gases in our atmosphere act as like a blanket around the Earth. Light rays come from the sun and they contain visible photons. Visible photons are absorbed my the Earths surface and infrared photons a re-emitted which is what we know as heat we feel. 3. What did you learn in lecture? In lecture Ted used models to explain how  there is so much CO2 ppm in classrooms we are basically toxifying kids. There are many contributors to C02 levels rising in this wo...
